Following Up

Once you are home, we will follow up with you to see how your recovery is going or if there is anything you think we can do to improve the patient experience at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Follow-up Phone Calls

You may receive a follow-up phone call a few days after discharge to see how you are feeling, if you are clear about your discharge instructions or if you have any comments or suggestions about the service you received while you were in the hospital.

If you do not receive a call and have questions or suggestions, contact Patient Relations during business hours.

Patient Satisfaction Surveys

After you are discharged, you may receive a patient satisfaction survey in the mail. Please take the time to complete and return the survey. Your answers and comments are very important to us and will help us make improvements or recognize staff who provided exceptional care and service.

Giving Back

Grateful patients and family members are often interested in finding out how they can help the hospital recognize the excellent care they or a loved one received. Some are interested in donating their time and others are interested in making a financial contribution.

To learn more about the many ways you can donate your time, contact Volunteer Services at 203-688-2297.

To learn how to make a financial contribution email [email protected] or contact our Development Office at 203-688-YNHH (9644).
