Multidisciplinary Pain Program

Smilow Multidisciplinary Pain Program is for patients with complex and difficult to manage cancer-related pain. The multidisciplinary team includes experts from Pain Medicine, Interventional Radiology, Palliative Care, and Integrative Medicine specialties. Our team provides integrative pain medicine for patients who suffer from pain as a result of their cancer treatments including radiation, chemotherapy, surgery, and pain caused by the disease itself.

The program offers a variety of pain management options. Treatment may include oral pain medications or interventional procedures that include trigger point injections and nerve blocks. The pain medicine team also offers implanted pumps that deliver pain medications directly to the source of pain in the body.
