We are the busiest provider of patient care services in the region, caring for the largest number of Medicaid-covered and uninsured patients in the state. The Yale New Haven Hospital Auxiliary is a diverse and dynamic group of women and men who devote their precious free time to making a meaningful contribution. Our dedicated group of volunteers routinely develop initiatives that help support the hospital's mission.
Every year, as part of our vital mission to promote health and wellness throughout the Greater New Haven region, Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH) sponsors, develops and participates in a wide variety of community-based programs and services.
Established in 1933, Yale New Haven Hospital has one of the oldest organized hospital volunteer programs in the country. The hospital's 2,400 volunteers contribute more than 200,000 hours of service annually.
