Since 1953, the Auxiliary has contributed over $5 million to support the hospital and its programs. Our committees offer assistance, support and education in a variety of ways to continually support the hospital’s needs and community outreach efforts. Dr. Albert Snoke establishes a formal Women's Auxiliary of Grance-New Haven Community Hospital at the request of the Board of Directors.
Opens Carryall Coffee and Gift Shop, forerunner of today's Atrium Gift Shop, as the Auxiliary's first major fundraising venture.
Pledges $90,000 toward the construction of the Dana Clinic Building entrance.
Gains a seat on the Hospital's Board of Trustees.
Helps establish the Child Life Program at YNHH. Pledges $80,000 to renovate Pediatric Unit.
Funds DART (Detection, Assessment, Referral and Treatment) program for abused children.
