As a member of this committee you will help recruit new members, plan membership events and rally member participation and spirit. The range of activities allows you to participate at your convenience and as your schedule allows. Additional benefits of membership include an invitation to the Auxiliary's annual dinner, a subscription to the Auxiliary newsletter and invitations to special events throughout the year.
Funds received by the Auxiliary allow us to provide grants to Yale New Haven Hospital departments for initiatives that support patient care but are not included in the Hospital’s budget. Project Grants Committee members help solicit, receive and evaluate grant proposals. On average, grants totaling nearly $115,000 were made by the Auxiliary to a variety of areas throughout the Hospital each year. These funds were generated by a number of sources including fundraising activities and proceeds from the gift shops and Toy Closet Golf Outing.
