Yale New Haven Hospital, in cooperation with area schools, offers a variety of programs aimed at improving the classroom experience and exposing young scholars to opportunities in health-related fields.

Financial Assistance Programs

Free care, sliding scale and other financial assistance to uninsured or underinsured patients who cannot afford to pay for medical care as well as Medicaid and Husky enrollment

Social Work Program

Yale New Haven Hospital's social work services assists individuals and families by helping them face medical-related problems; and provides brief counseling for emotional issues and parents' concerns.

School-Based Health Centers

SBHCs are health clinics that bring preventive and immediate care, as well as counseling, health education and sometimes dental care, to children and adolescents at school.

Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

Women, Infants and Children (WIC) provides nutrition counseling, breastfeeding education and vouchers for food and infant formula to pregnant women, post-partum women, infants and children up to age 5.

Wellness Information Network (WIN)

The Wellness Information Network (WIN) program helps people who have no health insurance get the care they need. It also helps people gain access to doctors, medical tests and care for long-term illnesses.
