The main entrance to Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital (1 Park Street) is temporarily closed. Patients and visitors should use the Smilow Cancer Hospital entrance, 35 Park Street.
Traffic Alert
Due to a generator installation project, traffic patterns on Howard Avenue in front of Yale New Haven Children's Hospital will change starting Oct. 21 and for the next two years. YNHCH will remain open, with one-way entry and exit driveways for the Pediatric Emergency Department. Signs will be posted. Please allow extra time to navigate the area.

Blood draw services for newborns through adolescents are available at the Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital Pediatric Specialty Centers. Blood draws are performed by specially trained and skilled pediatric staff. Child Life Specialists are available to provide developmental and age appropriate distraction techniques.
