RN to Paramedic Program

The Yale New Haven Hospital Center for EMS RN to Paramedic Bridge Program is a State of Connecticut approved educational program and is based on the current National Standard Curriculum for Paramedic Training and the current National Educational Standards document of the US NHTSA.

The Yale New Haven Hospital Center for EMS Healthcare Professional to Paramedic Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP). The course consists of a 1,400 hour minimum, including distributive learning and a two (2) week in person classroom and lab. Both the distributive portion and in person classroom/lab will be broken-down into six (6) modules: Introduction to Paramedicine, Medical Emergencies, Cardiology, Pediatrics, Trauma and Operations. 

The distributive learning portion of the program will have rolling, open enrollment with all assignments due by May 1, 2024. The two-week in person classroom and lab will run from May 6-17, 2024.
