David H. Klemanski, PsyD, specializes in psychological and diagnostic assessment, and is known for his expertise in treating anxiety disorders, mindfulness, and emotion regulation.
As an assistant professor of psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Klemanski's research focuses on the psychopathological components of anxiety, specific anxiety disorders, and common related conditions. He focuses on emotion regulation strategies and treatment outcomes among anxiety- and mood-based disorders. Recently, Dr. Klemanski has worked to clarify the diagnostic overlap among these disorders by delineating different regulatory processes associated with various emotional experiences.
Dr. Klemanski is a frequent speaker at national events, and co-authored the book, "Don't Let Your Anxiety Run Your Life: Using the Science of Emotion Regulation and Mindfulness to Overcome Your Worry and Fear," which offers advice on overcoming worry and fear through mindfulness and emotion regulation techniques.
Dr. Klemanski received his doctorate from the University of Hartford. He completed his predoctoral fellowship at Yale School of Medicine and his postdoctoral fellowship at Yale University's Department of Psychology.
