Dr. DiCello received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University New England. She was the former Associate Director and faculty member at the Graduate Institute of Professional Psychology, University of Hartford from 2000-2013, where she received the Excellence in Teaching Award in 2011 and 2013, as well as the Diversity Award in 2011. She has served as adjunct faculty in the Psy.D. program at Antioch University New England and supervises psychology fellows in the Department of Psychiatry, Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. DiCello currently maintains a full-time private practice in New Haven. She has presented at regional, national, and international conferences on grief as well as Italian American mental health issues. Along with her colleague, Dr. Lorraine Mangione, Dr. DiCello has co-authored a book titled Daughters, Dad, and the Path through Grief: Tales from Italian America with New Harbinger/Impact Publishing, Inc., which was a finalist in the 2014 Foreword Reviews INDIEFAB Book of the Year Awards in the category of grief, as well as a finalist for the USA Book News Awards for 2014 in the Health: Death and Dying category. She is also a member of the Climate Psychology Alliance. In addition to her clinical interests, Dr. DiCello has published poetry in a number of literary journals.
