Lucas Driskell, PsyD, is a clinical neuropsychologist assistant professor of neurology at Yale School of Medicine.
In his clinical practice, Dr. Driskell specializes in neuropsychological evaluations, which involve assessing how well a person's brain is functioning, focusing on memory, problem-solving, and other cognitive abilities. Dr. Driskell works with patients who have conditions affecting the brain, such as stroke or progressive brain disorders like Alzheimer's disease.
Broadly, his research interests pertain to the relationship between brain and heart health. He is also involved in advancing education, training, and advocacy within the specialty of neuropsychology. He serves on several state, national, and international psychology and neuropsychology organizations. He was a cofounder of KnowNeuropsychology, an organization that serves as a platform for the international exchange of scientific knowledge and advancement of neuropsychology as a specialty via equitable access to education.
He completed his doctoral education at Nova Southeastern University (NSU), where he received the Student of the Year Award within the College of Psychology and was a finalist for NSU’s Student Life Achievement Award. He went on to complete his internship in neuropsychology and rehabilitation psychology at Baylor College of Medicine, followed by his two-year neuropsychology postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Neurology at the University of Virginia. In 2023, he was awarded the Distinguished Early Career Psychologist Award by the Connecticut Psychological Association.
