Otolaryngology is a medical specialty that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases related to the ear, nose and throat (ENT) for adult and pediatric patients. Physicians are often referred to as ENT specialists. ENT specialists work closely with physicians of many medical specialties including plastic surgery, dermatology, radiation therapy, oncology and oral surgery.
General ENT, Allergy and Sinus
This program offers diagnosis and treatment for complicated allergy, asthma and sinus conditions. This includes allergy-desensitization shots, cosmetic nose surgery, external and middle-ear surgery and non-invasive treatment for snoring.
Hearing and Balance Program
This program offers care to adults and children with disorders of the ear and conditions that affect hearing, balance and facial paralysis. ENT specialists treat a diverse range of patients and disorders, including infants with hearing loss, toddlers with chronic ear infections and adults suffering from imbalance problems and vertigo.The staff coordinates with teams in neurology, geriatrics, head and neck surgery, craniofacial surgery and speech pathology.
Speech and Swallow Program
This program treats conditions affecting speech, language, voice, fluency and swallowing.
Head and Neck Cancers Program
This program offers early detection, treatment and prevention of cancer involving the lips, nose, mouth, sinuses, larynyx, ears and skull. The team consists of physicians in many medical specialties including otolaryngology, medical oncology, plastic surgery, neurosurgery, dermatology, radiation therapy, head and neck radiology and oral surgery. Rehabilitation experts are available to help patients regain speech, swallowing and hearing abilities.
If detected early, head and neck cancers are highly curable, usually with some form of surgery. Chemotherapy and radiation therapy may also be recommended.
Dynamic Stability Platform Device
The Hearing and Balance program offers the Dynamic Stability Platform device to help rehabilitate patients with balance disorders.
Hearing Devices
