Throwback Thursday: These healthcare heroes really did wear capes
Throwback Thursday: These healthcare heroes really did wear capes
The Yale New Haven Hospital Archives recently received donations that show what life was like for the healthcare heroes of the past. Sarah Nitza donated a wide variety of items from her mother, Barbara Eleanor (Warwick) Wiesenberg, a 1951 Grace-New Haven School of Nursing (GNHSN) graduate.
Donations included photos, coursework, her mother’s school cap and cape, diploma and tuition receipts. Some of these, along with items from the Hospital of Saint Raphael School of Nursing (HSRSN) will be on display near the York Street Campus Atrium lobby in the spring.
In the meantime, the Archives is asking HSRSN and GNHSN graduates and their families to donate items. Email [email protected] for more information.
In this photo recently donated to the YNHH Archives, Barbara Warwick (right), in her Grace-New Haven School of Nursing (GNHSN) cape, greeted a classmate.
The Grace-New Haven School of Nursing class of 1951 included Barbara Warwick, whose daughter recently donated this and other photos and items to the YNHH Archives. The Archives will display these and other School of Nursing artifacts in the spring and is seeking more items from the GNHSN and HSRSN.
