These employees received PEACE (Patient Experience Award for Caring and Excellence) recognition for going above and beyond to meet patients’ and families’ needs.
Staff with MICU 9/10 were honored for continuing efforts to provide compassionate care. Using funds from a YNHH Auxiliary Project Grant, the team makes fleece blankets to comfort patients dealing with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses or injuries. A family member recently wrote to express gratitude for the blanket her grandmother received before she passed away. The family now cherishes the blanket as a memorial keepsake.
