Was that a robot that just went by? 

Employees working the evening or night shifts at Yale New Haven Hospital recently might have thought their eyes were playing tricks on them. But that really was a robot they saw, gliding through the halls at both campuses as part of a digital mapping project. Yale New Haven Health’s Information Technology Services is working with Gozio Health to create a digital wayfinding app that will help patients, visitors and staff navigate YNHHS facilities. Gozio Health’s mapping robot, named Magellan, has traveled throughout selected areas in the hospital’s hallways and public areas, detecting beacons installed in the ceilings.
