Smilow Cancer Hospital and Yale Cancer Center (YCC) recently announced leadership appointments that will further the goal of greater alignment across Yale New Haven Health System and Yale School of Medicine. Eric Winer, MD, has been named president of Smilow Cancer Hospital and its network of cancer services throughout YNHHS. Dr. Winer also will continue as Smilow’s physician-in-chief and director of YCC, positions he has held since he joined the organizations in 2022. Lori Pickens has assumed a newly established role as chief administrative officer for YCC. She will also continue in her role as senior vice president, Oncology Services and executive director, Smilow Cancer Hospital, positions she has held since 2018.
