    The Accident Room in the Farnam Building that was once part of Yale New Haven Hospital was the precursor to the modern emergency room. YNHH's emergency services have grown dramatically over the years, with Emergency Department locations at the York Street and Saint Raphael campuses and Shoreline Medical Center. In addition, Yale New Haven Children's Hospital has a Pediatric ED.
