Peter Marone, Kathy Mitas

Laboratory promotions announced

Peter Marone has been named executive director, Clinical Laboratory Services, and Kathy Mitas, director, Laboratory Outreach Services, Yale New Haven Health. Since joining Yale New Haven Hospital in 1982 as a medical technologist in the Microbiology Laboratory, Marone has served in various leadership positions, most recently executive director, Clinical Services, and before that, director of Laboratory Services. He earned his BS degree in medical technology and MBA from Quinnipiac University. Mitas joined Greenwich Hospital in 1998 and has held a number of leadership roles, most recently program director, Greenwich Hospital Laboratory. She has a BS in medical technology and an MS in healthcare sciences.
