Emotions influence learning, decision-making, relationships, health and performance. But it’s our control and ability to express emotions that empower us and give us emotional intelligence. Patients, employees and the public are invited to a free Smilow Wellness Workshop, “Emotional Intelligence: Permission to feel to achieve well-being,” 4 - 5:15 pm Thursday, Oct. 8. Marc Brackett, PhD, founding director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence, will discuss the Center’s model and recent studies on emotions and offer tools to develop emotional intelligence for personal and professional success. Registration is not required. More information is on the YNHHS intranet.
