Established in 1982, Patient Access Week is a celebration of healthcare professionals who often provide the first point of contact for patients and visitors and first impression of Yale New Haven Health. Patient Access staff are responsible for many crucial aspects of revenue cycle management, including scheduling, registration, appointment check-in, insurance verification, financial counseling, document scanning and retrieval and explanation of regulatory admission forms – all while providing exceptional customer service.
