Yale New Haven and Pharmacy leaders joined staff at an April 4 ribbon-cutting at Yale New Haven Health’s newest retail pharmacy, located at 6 Devine St. at the North Haven Medical Center. The opening is part of an expansion of the North Haven medical campus designed to enhance access to services for patients, families and employees.
“Since 2013, when we first opened the North Haven Medical Center at 6 Devine St., we have provided residents of North Haven and the surrounding towns with unparalleled service and access to resources of one of the country’s leading health systems,” said Cynthia Sparer, YNHHS executive vice president and president of Ambulatory Care, and executive director, Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital. “Pharmacy is the glue that complements and supports the many specialty programs and ancillary services offered on this medical campus and right here in this building.”
“Our pharmacists and technicians now have direct access to the specialty care teams right here at the North Haven Medical Center. That integration really differentiates us and allows us to close the loop and provide seamless, safe and convenient medication services to our patients,” said LeeAnn Miller, PharmD, vice president and chief pharmacy officer, YNHHS.
