PEACE recognition announced

These employees received PEACE (Patient Experience Award for Caring and Excellence) recognition for going above and beyond to meet patients’ and families’ needs.

The interdisciplinary team of Main 6 was honored for compassionate, patient-centered care of a bariatric patient who has been on the unit since October 2021. Team members have continually provided extra TLC for this patient, who can’t walk on his own and struggles with depression from his lengthy hospitalization. The team provides incentives and encouragement for the patient’s small gains and major milestones toward his physical and mental health, exemplifying the importance of teamwork on the patient experience.
