YNHHS staff, physicians and family members walk to support trauma survivors

Yale New Haven Health physicians, staff and family members recently participated in the “Race to Rebuild,” a virtual event held throughout May to benefit the Trauma Survivors Network (TSN). The Network was developed by the American Trauma Society to provide support and services for patients and their families during recovery from serious injury. YNHHS’ 77 participants racked up nearly 920 miles, and an additional 14 people donated directly to the TSN. Funds raised will help purchase toiletries for Yale New Haven Hospital trauma patients and snacks for a monthly gathering for their families in the ICU waiting room. Representing the larger YNHHS team were (l-r): Kimberly Davis, MD; Kate Baron, APRN; Adrian Maung, MD; Rick O’Connor, RN; Kimberly Barre, RN; Kimberly Rivera, RN, YNHH Trauma Survivors Network coordinator; Diana Coleman, RN; Christina Walderon, Yale School of Medicine student; Dana Forlano, APRN; Amy Brenner-Fricke; and Diana-Lynn Schaible, RN.
