Urgent: YNHH Blood drives in July and August

Connecticut and the rest of the nation are experiencing severe blood shortages. The Red Cross will hold a series of blood drives at YNHH, 55 Park St., second floor:

• Tuesday, July 20, 9 am - 5 pm
• Tuesday, July 27, 9 am - 2 pm
• Wednesday, Aug. 4, 7 am - 4:30 pm
• Tuesday, Aug. 10, 9 am - 2 pm
• Thursday, Aug. 12, 9 am - 5 pm

YNHHS now allowing domestic, business-related travel 

YNHHS recently lifted its COVID-related moratorium on business-related travel (domestic only), provided employees:

• Are fully vaccinated before travel (i.e., two or more weeks since receiving all necessary vaccine doses)
• Receive approval from their senior vice president before travel
• Do not have any COVID symptoms before travel; adhere to the CDC’s safe travel guidelines while away; and comply with any YNHHS return-to-work protocols in effect at the time of travel.

Currently, fully-vaccinated employees who are traveling domestically, adhere to safe travel guidelines, have had no known exposure to confirmed or suspected COVID-positive individuals during travel, and remain asymptomatic do not need COVID testing before returning to work.
