Employees invited to apply for online Executive Master’s in Public Health program

Yale New Haven Health employees are invited to apply for Yale School of Public Health’s online, part-time Executive Master’s in Public Health program for working health professionals.

The two-year program is for people seeking a strong public health education, advanced training in their area of interest and hands-on public health and leadership training. It offers four tracks: health informatics, environmental health sciences, applied analytic methods and epidemiology, and critical topics in public health. The program blends comprehensive online education with in-person management and leadership training on the Yale University campus.

YNHHS employee Louis Linde joined the program’s first class in July. Because the program is part time, he can continue working as a senior consultant in business development with the Office of Strategy Management.

About half of Linde’s classmates are clinicians, including physicians, nurses and physician assistants. The other half work in hospital administration, legal, finance, health insurance, medical supply chain, healthcare start-ups and other areas.

“I have been impressed by the incredible depth and breadth of my fellow classmates’ backgrounds, the program faculty and the relationships I have built,” he said. “The curriculum has helped me develop new perspectives through which to view and analyze public health challenges. This is particularly helpful in my current role, as I routinely analyze access issues and growth opportunities for the health system.”

All students receive a $10,000 scholarship. For more information, visit the Executive Master's in Public Health
