Move over, Food Network
Yale New Haven Hospital has its own teaching kitchen – and this one travels. Working together, Food and Nutrition and our food services partner, Morrison Healthcare, successfully debuted the “Teaching Kitchen” on April 5 with a hands-on healthy cooking demo in the East Pavilion Cafeteria. Employees in the hospital’s weight-management program joined Morrison chef Todd Concilio and registered dietitian Ellen Liskov for the demo. Plans are to hold teaching kitchen demos in different areas of the hospital to share healthy recipes and cooking tips that staff can recommend to patients and use with their own families.
