More than 400 employees from across the health system attended the first YNHHS Diversity and Inclusion Summit Sept. 5. The day-long event included workshops led by diversity subject matter experts; a keynote address by Shakila Ahmad, president of the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati; and updates from the delivery networks’ Diversity and Inclusion Councils. A highlight of the day was the culmination of the Amazing Race – the Race to Understanding, a months-long exercise challenging participants to engage in diverse activities in the community.
