The 2023-2024 COVID-19 vaccine, approved by the FDA and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is now available for Yale New Haven Health employees at onsite vaccination clinics. Though currently not mandatory, this latest vaccine is highly recommended to help protect against currently circulating variants of COVID-19.
Receiving the updated vaccine is the best way to protect oneself from severe disease that could lead to hospitalization or death and may reduce the chances of suffering post-viral effects of COVID-19 infection. YNHHS’ Infection Prevention and Occupational Health highly recommend the updated COVID-19 vaccine for employees.
From Nov. 6 - Dec. 1, or while supplies last, the Moderna brand 2023-2024 COVID-19 vaccine will be offered free to employees at the same locations, days and times of the flu vaccination clinics at each delivery network.
Due to limited supply, employees must schedule their COVID-19 vaccine in the Employee Health section of Infor. Employees may receive their influenza vaccines during the same visit but must schedule each vaccination separately. Please schedule both vaccinations at the same location, date and time of your choice. Employees who have already received their influenza vaccine for this year may still schedule themselves for the COVID-19 vaccine.
Volunteers, students, travelers, vendors and non-employed licensed independent practitioners are invited to receive the COVID booster and may schedule an at vaccinepartner.ynhh.org.
