Blood drives scheduled for Nov. 16 and 22

The Red Cross will hold two blood drives at YNHH in November:

• Thursday, Nov. 16, 9:30 am - 2:30 pm, Saint Raphael Campus cafeteria. To make an appointment, visit redcrossblood.org and enter SRCNH as the sponsor code, or call 1-800-733-2767.
  
• Wednesday, Nov. 22, 9 am - 2 pm, 55 Park St. auditorium. To make an appointment, visit redcrossblood.org and enter YALENHHOSP as the sponsor code, or call 1-800-733-2767. Parking passes available upon request.

YNHCH Wish Book available online

The annual Wish Book, a gift list for Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital patients, is now online at www.ynhhwishbook.org.The online catalog includes items hospital staff have suggested to help keep young patients’ spirits up through play and entertainment. Many Wish Book gifts are items families can’t purchase themselves. The items in the latest catalog are designed for gift-giving throughout the year, not just the holidays. Please help fulfill some of these wishes and make a difference in the lives of our pediatric patients and their families.

GiveHealthy food drive to move to March

YNHHS will move its annual #GiveHealthy online food drive from November to March 2024 to coincide with National Nutrition Month. Employees and medical staff will again be invited to donate food to hunger-relief organizations in the communities where they live and/or work. The drive will be conducted through #GiveHealthy, an organization that provides an online platform for hunger-relief organizations to set up “registries” listing items they need. Watch for communications about the drive in late winter and early spring.
