Yale New Haven Health and Yale Medicine have adopted a policy that uses colors to guide staff on when to wear masks, based on respiratory infection rates:
As of Nov. 13, the organizations were at a yellow level based on current and anticipated increases in respiratory viral infections. Signs posted at entrances will show the appropriate color and masking recommendation. For more information about the policy and masking requirements, visit the employee intranet.
YNHHS has changed the number employees use to access Teletime to 203-200-5380. Beginning Dec. 5, callers to the old number will hear a recording directing them to the new one. Changing from a toll-free to a local phone number will save money for the health system without impacting service. The process for using Teletime to record a swipe is not changing. Employees will still enter their employee ID number and password before hearing the same automated menu. The current process to request Teletime access also will remain the same. New requests require management approval and must be submitted in ServiceNow.
The hospital recently implemented parking improvements that include electronic payment for valet parking, along with transportation assistance at hospital entrances. Patients and visitors who use valet parking may now:
Transportation assistants will be in the York Street Campus and Saint Raphael Campus main lobbies to help with patient pickup, parking questions, assisting patients with taxis or rideshares.
Yale New Haven Health employees are invited to apply for Yale School of Public Health’s part-time Executive Master of Public Health program for working health professionals. The two-year program is designed for people seeking a strong public health education, advanced training in their area of interest and hands-on public health and leadership training. The program offers four tracks: health informatics, environmental health sciences, applied analytic methods and epidemiology, and critical topics in public health. The program blends comprehensive online education with in-person management and leadership training on the Yale University campus. All students receive a $10,000 scholarship.
